We had tried the older Breville Temp Select BKE720 kettle and liked it. So, we were excited to get the new one, the Breville VKT159. This new model is more innovative, clean, and more practical. It’s made of shiny, modern metal and also has digital features.
We did much research before choosing this kettle, which had everything we wanted. Plus, it’s available on Amazon UK at a reasonable price. The Breville Temperature Select VKT159 kettle, lets you pick the perfect temperature for your water with just a touch. It also tells you how long it will take to get ready. If you don’t want your drink to be too hot, this can help save a little energy!
It’s also quiet and makes a gentle sound as it gets hotter. The water level marker is on the side of the handle, which is more practical because that’s where you look when filling it up. If you want, you can get a matching toaster to go with it, making your kitchen look nice and fancy.
Breville VKT159 Temperature Select Kettle: What could be better?
We used this kettle to make different kinds of tea while testing it. Breville VKT159 Temperature Select Kettle looked super modern on our worktop.
But some things made us sad, mainly because it cost a bit more. This kettle doesn’t have features like keep warm and cool touch dual-wall.
One not-so-good thing is that the lid is hard to take off, especially when the kettle is hot! You have to do it by hand, and sometimes the boiled water can splash out, so you must be careful not to get burned.
The base where the kettle sits is more significant than the standard size, and it takes up a lot of space in our tiny kitchen. When we tested it, we noticed it took a bit longer to get 95 degrees than 100.
If you don’t want a BPA kettle, you might be sad because it has a plastic filter. You can remove the filter, but the plastic part that holds it can’t be removed. There is also some plastic, like a water level gauge and plastic layers on the small bolts inside.
Breville VKT159 Temperature Select Kettle: Is it good to buy?
We found that the Breville VKT159 kettle had everything we wanted. It can make water hot at different temperatures for different drinks: black tea, green tea, white tea, oolong, coffee and more. It gets hot fast and pours out from the spout without any drips! It’s easy to clean because there’s no coil inside.
We liked it and think you’ll be happy with it too. It’s a class electric water boiler, and even your friends will compliment it’s excellent!
